USA sports scholarships

A sports scholarship in the United States is a fantastic way to play your chosen sport at the highest possible level, earn a university degree and have the time of your life. American colleges boast some of the best playing facilities on the planet, have the most experienced collegiate coaches in the world and produce some of the world's greatest athletes.

Gaining a USA sports scholarship

A sports scholarship to an American University will allow you to play top level sport, whilst studying for an Internationally recognised degree. Each athlete that is offered a sports scholarship is given a 'financial package' that will go towards the athletes tuition, housing, food etc. In return for this financial package the college gains the services of the player to represent the university for the duration of their stay.

Once you finish

- A degree

The American education system is arguably the finest education system in the world and obtaining a degree through the American education system will put you in a fantastic position once you leave university and begin your chosen career.

- Life experience

Living overseas, learning and adapting into a new culture and socialising and operating in a team environment are all very desirable attributes and experiences that all future employers will be looking for.

- Working Career

Competition in certain professions is very high and employers will often look for someone who breaks the mould and stands out from the crowd, gaining a scholarship and studying in America does exactly that.

- Professessional sport

The transition from student athlete to professional athlete in the United States is a lot smoother than that in the UK. The top athletes in a given sport are able to join pro clubs through the 'draft' which means that university athletes are essentially scouted by professional clubs and drafted into their teams.
